If there is one tool that I would vouch for that has helped me in my personal transformation journey, it is JOURNALING. Journaling doesn’t have to be fancy and organized to start out with. You can just use a hardcover diary or a regular notebook where you jot down your thoughts or the events in your life on a daily basis. Just make sure you write consistently. If you fall back, you can get back on track any day. Just write any way.

Some strategies to use while journaling:
You can have a daily morning gratitude ritual where you write down what you are grateful for. You can start off real simple with something as simple as ” I am so happy and grateful now that I had a wonderful meal with my family”. Over time your gratitude list will grow.
You could write affirmations in the present tense like “I am confident”, ‘”I am organized”. Repeating affirmations multiple times impresses these beliefs in your subconscious mind and will get expressed as more confidence or you being more organized.
You can write your goals and your daily task list or to-do list for the day.
Every evening, write down the events of the day .If it is positive, savor it by writing about the aspects of the day that you liked and how your mindset was. If you didn’t have a great day, change it up and write what you would have liked to have happened.
You can write about something you learned that day. When you write about what you learned, you wire it in your brain and you are less likely to forget it and lose that information and you also get the advantage of going back to it and reviewing it when you need it.
Top reasons to journal:
Journaling will help you process through difficult emotions like frustration, grief, anger, depression. etc. Your journal acts as your best friend and is a great listener when you are faced with difficult life situations Whether you are single or surrounded with well meaning friends and family, your journal can still provide a safe haven where you can vent out your frustrations or pour your heart out without fear of being judged Once you write it down, you can begin to release it and you don’t have to hold on to those charged up emotions. This is incredibly freeing and you will notice how light you feel.
Journaling will help you with self awareness. If you are someone with a negative outlook on life, journaling will point that out. If you write every day, you will recognize certain patterns in your life that you may need to change. Also, you will be able look at some events in your life and understand the underlying thoughts and beliefs you had when the events occurred. When you become aware of your limiting beliefs you can begin to replace those thoughts with more loving and kind thoughts.
Journaling organizes your thinking . You can write down your Top 5 life goals, your top 5 values, 5 people you would like to emulate etc. The more you write, more clarity you have. With clear intentions and actions, you will become a mindful creator of your destiny.
Journaling will help you stay organized and on top of your game. You can write your daily to-do list or your goals for the day.You will be surprised on how many items on you to-do list gets accomplished by the end of the day even though you may not be consciously working on them.
If you are someone who has writer's block, journaling is a great way to unblock your creative writing abilities.
You can make notes in your journal when you are learning something new. Journaling will enhance and accelerate your learning.
Journaling will speed up your manifestation. Suppose, you are going for a job interview, you can imagine how the interview would go, what the hiring manager will say at the end of the interview and script it in your journal. I have had phenomenal success in job interviews using scripting in my journal. I highly recommend scripting.

If you have a daily gratitude practice, you are re-conditioning your mind to look for positive things in your life. It puts you in a positive frame of mind and even if there are events or circumstances in your day, that you don’t like, you are getting aware of how your past thoughts or beliefs may have contributed to the current situation. Once you become aware, you can always release those beliefs or switch to more positive loving thoughts.
Journaling helps you relive your favorite experiences and savor the good feeling thoughts for a longer period. Suppose you are single and had a chance encounter with someone and had a very interesting conversation, you can journal that down and savor it and have fun with it. When used along with scripting technique, who knows you may well be on you way to dating this person if that is what you would like.
If you are still not convinced , here is a personal story: Few years ago, I was in a difficult situation and I used journaling to get out of the situation as well as to gain clarity on my course of action .However, during this time, I also stumbled upon my poetry writing ability. I owe this blog completely to my journaling practice. So, what are you waiting for? Grab a pen and a book and start writing! Happy journaling!
